The Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers continue to be seen as the two team’s most likely to win the NBA Championship.
Needing just five games to defeat LeBron James and the Cavaliers in the 2017 NBA Finals and end any hope the franchise had in winning consecutive “Association” titles it is now the Warriors that aim to earn back-to-back trophies.
With Kevin Durant now settled with a year of practice, games and postseason experience together the Warriors are overwhelming favorites to repeat and win the 2018 NBA Finals.
The South Point Race and Sportsbook continue to list Golden State at minus-200 to win next year’s title. Cleveland is considered to be Golden State’s most likely challenger from the Eastern Conference.
The current Warriors squad, Durant, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are all under contract for at least the next two seasons offering the roster stability and continuity, variables that position Golden State with the likes of the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics and Chicago Bull periods in which the organizations were considered NBA dynasties.
South Point Race and Sportsbook have updated their Odds to Win 2018 Eastern and Western Conferences, as well, the 2018 NBA Championship:
