Is this the year Washington finally gets over the hump? If you look at the NL MVP odds, they certainly appear to have the talent to do so. At the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, there are six Nationals players with MVP odds at 100/1 or less: Bryce Harper (3/1), Anthony Rendon (30/1), Max Scherzer (30/1), Daniel Murphy (80/1), Trea Turner (80/1) and Ryan Zimmerman (100/1).

The NL West should be a fascinating division this year. The Dodgers, Diamondbacks and Rockies all made the playoffs last season, and the Giants should certainly be improved. There are 16 players with MVP odds at 40/1 or better, and seven of them come from the NL West: Nolan Arenado (5/1), Paul Goldschmidt (8/1), Cody Bellinger (10/1), Corey Seager (15/1), Charlie Blackmon (25/1), Clayton Kershaw (25/1), and Justin Turner (40/1).
