Live Betting Tips for NFL In-Game Betting

I spent 3 years creating In-Game lines for NFL and NCAAF games for Pinnacle Sports (made, posted and adjusted lines all in the span of 3 minutes while taking bets of over $100,000 and ended year 2013 up over $1,000,000 in live football). During that time I learned a lot about market tendencies and where to find value.

Here are some simple tips to help you with your NFL Live bets during the rest of the playoffs.

  1. Bet immediately after a score – If you are going to bet, bet immediately after a score. The line is much less stable at that point, then after a punt. A score is a big change in the game state and often is the most uncertain time to post a line. After a score was the scariest time for me to post.

DraftKings Cash Game NFL Sunday 1PM Lineup Picks

NFL Pick: Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

Cash Game refers to a 50/50 or heads up tournament

DraftKings Cash Game NFL Sunday 1PM Lineup Picks:

QB – David Carr, Oakland Raiders

David Carr has a middling matchup vs the Steelers, but has been producing this season at home or on the road. He is averaging just a shade under 20 fantasy points which is a steal at $5,500. Amari Cooper is the real deal and should have no problem getting open in this game, but more on him later.

RB – Davonte Freeman, Atlanta Falcons

In a game where the Falcons are expected to blow out the 49ers, Freeman should get plenty of carries as they look to kill the clock towards the end of the game. On top of game flow working in his favor the 49ers boast one of the league worst run defenses. Fire up Freeman with confidence.

RB – Ronnie Hillman, Denver Broncos

Ronnie was given the starting job and responded with a solid 2 TD performance against the stout Packers D. The Colts present a much softer matchup and Hillman should look to get 100 yards and a TD in this game, while also being a solid pass catching back. At $4,600 that is a huge return.

WR – Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants

A week after going off for 3 TD’s, Odell is facing another bottom of the league secondary. He is my favorite play of any WR and well worth the price. He is a top 3 receiver whenever he is 100% and he is 100% here. Take the stud with a cupcake matchup.

WR – Amari Cooper, Oakland Raiders

Amari Cooper has the talent and production of a WR1 but for some reason keeps getting priced as a WR2. He is only averaging 3 less fantasy points per game than Odell Beckham, 2 less than Antonio Brown and 3 more than Randall Cobb. On top of all of that he is a rookie who should get better as the season goes on and he gets into more of a rhythm with Carr and learns more of the offense.

WR – Eric Decker, New York Jets

With Brandon Marshall missing practice and having a true Questionable injury tag, expect more looks to go Deckers way. If Marshall plays it’s very likely he is just a decoy. All of this spells Decker getting WR1/WR2 production at a fraction of the price.

TE – Ben Watson, New Orleans Saints

Dr. Wats has had a break out season at age 35. He has turned into Brees security blanket and parlayed that to over 300 yards, 23 receptions and 2 TD’s in the past 3 games. In a game where the Saints are expected to put up about 28 points, that means there will be plenty of passes to go around. He is a safe play with a high floor.

FLEX – Jeremy Langford, Chicago Bears

While Langford may not be featured in the passing game, he should get 15+ carries. With a good defensive matchup and a price of $4,000 he has to do so little to return value. If he goes for 100+ yards and a TD, which is entirely possible, he is a home run at this price.

D – Denver Broncos

A week after holding the best QB in the game, Aaron Rodgers, to 77 yards passing the Broncos travel to Indy for another Peyton revenge game. With the Colts firing their offensive coordinator and Andrew Luck playing like garbage, you can expect the Broncos to get some turnovers in this game. The Colts O-Line is giving up sacks left and right, and when Andrew Luck does get a pass off it has sailed over his receiver more often than not. Add TY Hilton missing practice and now you have a recipe for disaster at the hands of the Broncos D.

Bookmakers Bet with Pinnacle Mark: Titans at Saints Breakdown

NFL Conference Championship Odds and Trends: 85K Money-Line play on Saints

Ken Wisenhunt just got a bus ticket outta town. Marcus Mariota and Kendall Wright are both nursing MCL injuries. Wright isn’t practicing and is unlikely to play, Mariota is partially practicing and looking to give it a go. Even with those two healthy, this offense is below average at best.

New Orleans just had a week that made all of the Drew Brees doubters bite their tongues (myself included). They are finally getting Brandon Cooks going and their passing game has found a Jimmy Graham replacement in 35 year old Ben Watson. He isn’t close to the same player but he has turned into a reliable target that is putting up big numbers over multiple weeks. You have Mark Ingram pounding the ball and turning into a great passing back as well and this offense is firing on all cylinders.

New Orleans weakness has always been on the defensive side of the ball. But with Mariota and Wright injured, and their run game resting on plodder Antonio Andrews who is averaging a pedestrian 3.7 YPC. The Titans offense should make the Saints D look like the Steel Curtain.

Feel confident in taking…
