Rocky Long’s Aztecs aren’t exactly your ideal favorite. With a pedestrian offense (at best), San Diego State is a one trick pony; capable of hanging tough in a defensive scrum, but not capable of putting up points in bunches to win by bigger margins. The Aztecs did cover as chalk at lowly New Mexico State earlier this season, but they went 0-7 ATS as favorites last year and gave up 63 points while losing straight-up as double digit chalk in their last test against Colorado State. Even off a bye week, this is not a team I trust to win by more than a touchdown.
