Celtics have a 12-2 record (11-2-1 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit on the first place of the East. They have 12 consecutive wins and in their last game they won at home against Toronto with a 95-94 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Kyrie Irving with 20.3 ppg, adding a team high 5.2 assists per game but he unavailable due to an injury. He is followed by Al Horford with 15.2 ppg and a team high 8.7 rebounds per game.

Last season Celtics won all four games against the Nets, winning in Brooklyn by an average of 11 points. Nets are 3-2 at home so far this season, while Celtics are 6-1 on the road. Nets are better offensively, scoring 110.6 ppg to Celtics’ 102.2, while Celtics are better defensively, allowing a league-best 94 ppg to Nets’ second-worse of 114.5. Nets have a slightly better field goal percentage, shooting with 43.4% to Celtics’ third-worse of 43.1%, while Celtics have a better 3-point percentage, shooting with a 35.7% to Nets’ third-worse of 32.8%. Celtics are better in rebounding (47.5 to 45.5), assists made (22.5 to 21.1) and in turnovers committed (14.5 to 15.9). Celtics seem unstoppable right now and Vegas odds give them a -6.5 spread and they are certain to beat the odds against a weak team without their best player.

Boston Celtics vs Brooklyn Nets Prediction: Boston Celtics -6.5 (-111)
