WBC Heavyweight Title Fight
The wide world of boxing is readying for a heavyweight division matchup that will dictate whom is awarded the opportunity to unload a chin-shot in a WBC title fight. Dillian Whyte defends his WBC Silver and WBO International heavyweight titles. The winner of the heavyweight bout is expected to be awarded a contract to fight one of the three best heavyweights in the world. The trio being Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua or Deontay Wilder. A statement that could be heard ’round the boxing world in May in a fight between Wilder and Dominic Bezzeale. The fans were not afforded the opportunity to hear the bell at the end of the 1st round. Whyte is rated as one of the top-5 contenders in the heavyweight division by The Ring. Whyte, better known as “The Body Snatcher” last fought Dereck Chisora in December earning an 11th-round knockout. The Body Snatcher is the current No. 1 challenger for Deontay Wilder’s WBC title.
Oscar Rivas resides in the top-10 of the world heavyweight rankings. “He has been one of the most avoided heavyweight fighters in the last few years, if not the last 20-years of the sport.
