NCAAB Oregon vs. Stanford Spread and Prediction (3-7-20)

Though Pac-12 challenger and Big Dance “lock” Oregon (projected No. 4 seed) is out to avenge a 70-60 upset loss in Palo Alto on Feb. 1, we still believe the Ducks will be hard-pressed to pull away from now-healthy NCAA at-large hopeful Stanford (on the 12-line in recent TGS projections). Saturday night’s Oregon vs. Stanford preview, courtesy of The Gold Sheet:

Date/Time: 03-7-2020, 23:00 EDT
Opening Spread: Oregon -7.5
Opening Total: 133.5

Stanford has covered the spread in four of their last five games, and that lone miss came by one point against Oregon State on Thursday. The Cardinal have been a “tough out” throughout conference action, with all five losses coming by nine points or fewer (two in OT). Sure, Oregon’s record-breaking PG Payton Pritchard wants to end his career with a bang, but he might not go wild vs. the stingy “Tree” D (61.7 points per game and 39.2-percent shooting allowed). With Stanford’s burgeoning 6-5 soph G Bryce Wills (7.4 points per game) coming off a confidence-building 19-point outburst vs. a tough Colorado D, and studly 6-9 junior Oscar da Silva (16.1 points, 6.5 rebounds per game) doing his customary biz down low, this high-profile battle will be decided late.

Oregon vs. Stanford Pick: Oregon 75 – Stanford 73
