AC Milan are coming off back to back matches in the Serie A and the Europa League and look like they have found some stability. They will now remain at home for their third consecutive match, where they will play host to a very solid Torino side on Sunday. Torino are also coming off two consecutive wins in the Coppa Italia and the Serie A and have also been in pretty solid shape. Both teams will look to make it three in a row, but a draw wouldn’t really hurt anyone here.

AC Milan (7-3-4) almost suffered an upset at home against Parma in their last match but saved the day in the second half. They actually dominated their opponents in the first half but the two teams went to the break tied at 0-0. Parma took the lead at the start of the second half but AC Milan pulled even just six minutes later. Kessie eventually scored the winning goal from the penalty spot at the 71st minute for the final 1-2. Prior to that they played a really strange match at home against Dudelange for the Europa League. The match had it all, a couple of overturns in the lead and two own goals for AC Milan to eventually win by 2-5. But they still haven’t sealed their ticket to the next round. As far as the Serie A is concerned, AC Milan are now sitting at the 4th spot of the league table with 25 points, one ahead of Lazio and four behind Inter Milan. They have been really strong at home so far in the league (5-1-1), where they also have two more wins and a loss in the Europa League. AC Milan have not kept a single clean sheet at home so far but have only failed to score once.
On the other hand, Torino (5-3-6) are coming off a rather anxious 0-2 win at home in the Coppa Italia, where they overcame Serie C side Sudtirol. They scored a goal in each half but it was not a very comfortable win overall. Last week they also recorded an anxious 1-2 win at home against the visiting Genoa. Their opponents saw a red card at the 28th minute but managed to take the lead at the 36th. However, Torino were in no mood for games and scored twice in the stoppage time of the first half to take the lead. They destroyed their opponents in the second half but couldn’t extend their lead. Torino are now sitting at the 6th spot of the Serie A with 21 points, just one ahead of Roma, Sassuolo and Parma. They are also three points behind Lazio and four points behind their upcoming opponents. Interestingly enough, Torino are one of two teams to have not lost on the road yet (2-0-5) – along with the mighty Juventus. Moreover, they have kept three clean sheets in their travels.
The two teams exchanged draws last season, a goal-less one in this venue before a 1-1 in Torino. AC Milan have dominated this match-up in recent years, having not lost a single match to Torino since 2001 (12-0-10). They have also been excellent as hosts here in the past two decades (10-0-4).
AC Milan have a crucial match for the Europa League on Thursday, where they just need to avoid the loss in order to move to the next round. But they have not been very stable this season and should be really careful. They cannot keep clean sheets and there is a good chance we will see goals from both sides here, despite the lower odds.
