Game Preview

LSU is in 2nd place in the SEC with a conference record of 14-2. That leaves them a half-game
behind 1st place Tennessee with two games left to play. The Tigers are 24-5 (17-11-1 ATS) overall
and have won their last three in a row.

The Gators lost at home to Georgia on Saturday by a score of 61-55. That defeat snapped a five-game
winning streak, a span which includes a 5-point road victory over LSU. Florida is 9-7 in SEC play
and 17-12 (12-17 ATS) overall.

LSU Tigers

Strong recent play from LSU has vaulted the team to #10 in the latest AP Top 25 poll. The team is 8-
2 (7-3 ATS) over its last 10 outings. The Tigers have been strong on the road as well this season with
a record of 8-1 (7-2 ATS) to date.

Team totals check in at 17-11 for the season with the Over coming in for six of the last nine. Tremont
Waters leads the way on offense. He’s averaging 15.3 ppg and 5.8 dimes. Skylar Mays is next up
with 13.7 ppg, while Naz Reid contributes 13.5 ppg and 7.0 boards.

Florida Gators

On an overall basis, the Gators have been playing well of late, but the team has been streaky. Over
the last 10 games, Florida is 6-4 (3-7 ATS), a span which includes a three-game losing streak and a
five-game winning streak. The team is 9-5 (3-11 ATS) at home on the year.

Team totals have been Under for eight of the last nine and stand at 9-20 on the year. KeVaughn Allen
leads the way on offense. He’s averaging 12.5 ppg, 2.9 rpg, and 2.3 apg. Noah Locke is next up with
10.3 ppg, while Andrew Nembhard chips in with 8.1 ppg.

LSU vs. Florida Prediction

Florida has won its last three games versus LSU and also holds a 7-3 edge over the last 10 meetings.
Totals are 7-3 over that span. For the game earlier this month, LSU was a 7-point home favorite, but
they fell in OT by a score of 82-77.

The spread is nearly a toss up this time around with Florida installed as a 1-point home favorite.
These two squads match up well on an overall basis. The Tigers get the nod on offense, but the
Gators are the stronger defensive team.

In the end, the Tigers are that much better and playing like team that could make some noise in the
tournament. We’ll take the visitors to pull out the win.

LSU Tigers vs. Florida Gators Pick: LSU Tigers +1 (-110)
