On Saturday, Abilene Christian squared off with New Orleans in the finals of the Southland
tournament. They were 4.5-point favorites going in, and the team easily covered by cruising to a 77-
60 victory. On the year, the club is 27-6 (16-13 ATS).

Kentucky finished one-game back of 1st place LSU in the SEC regular season standings. They made
it to the semifinals of the conference tournament versus Tennessee, but they came up short in a 4-
point defeat as 2-point favorites. For the season, the team is 27-6 (17-16 ATS).

Abilene Christian Wildcats

Prior to taking down the Southland tournament, Abilene Christian closed out the regular season by
winning six of its last seven games. Over its last 10 outings overall, the team checks in with a record
of 8-2 (7-3 ATS).

Team totals are in the middle for the year at 15-14, but the Over has been the correct call for the last
two. Jaren Lewis is the top threat for Abilene Christian. He’s averaging 13.7 ppg and 6.2 boards.
Jalone Friday contributes 13.1 ppg. Lewis led the way versus New Orleans with 20 points.

Kentucky Wildcats

The Wildcats closed out the regular season on a 6-2 run, but those two losses proved costly as they
came at the hands of conference heavyweights Tennessee and LSU. For the last 10 games overall,
Kentucky is 7-3 (3-7 ATS).

Team totals stand at 12-21 for the year with the Under coming in for six of the last eight. PJ
Washington leads the way on offense with averages of 14.8 ppg and 7.5 boards. Tyler Herro is next
up with 14.2 ppg. Washington led the way in the loss to Tennessee with 16 points.

Abilene Christian vs. Kentucky March Madness Prediction

This will be the first-ever Division I NCAA Tournament appearance for Abilene Christian. As for
Kentucky, the program’s resume can stack up with any other program in the nation. Last year, they
made it to the Sweet Sixteen before falling to Kansas State by three points.

Kentucky is undoubtedly the better team on paper, but Abilene Christian does have some offensive
firepower and is no slouch on defense. Depth, shooting, and rebounding goes to Kentucky. They
should pick up an easy win, but we like Abilene Christian to keep it closer than a hefty 22.5 points.
