Game Preview

The Knights faced off Prairie View A&M in First Four action on Tuesday night. They needed a rally
at the end to get the job done, but they walked off the floor with an 82-76 win as 2-point favorites.
For the year, Fairleigh Dickinson is 21-13 (19-13 ATS).

The Bulldogs have been off since last Tuesday’s WCC tournament final game versus Saint Mary’s.
Things didn’t go according to plan for that one. Gonzaga was a big 15-point favorite at tip-off, but
the Gaels stunned them in a 60-47 victory. The team is 30-3 (21-12 ATS) on the season.

Fairleigh Dickinson Knights

Prior to the victory over the Panthers, Fairleigh Dickinson played St. Francis to decide the Northeast
Conference. They handled business to the tune of 85-76 as 4.5-point underdogs. Over the last 10
games overall, the Knights are 9-1 (8-2 ATS).

Team totals are 15-17 on the year with the Over coming in for the last two in a row. Darnell Edge is
the biggest threat on offense for the Knights. He’s averaging 16.4 ppg, and he led the way in the win
over the Panthers with 33 points. Jahlil Jenkins contributes 13.8 ppg and 4.6 apg.

Gonzaga Bulldogs

Gonzaga dominated the WCC during the regular season with a perfect mark of 16-0. That included a
pair of victories over the Gaels during the regular season, which made the loss in the title game all
the more surprising. For their last 10 outings, the Bulldogs are 9-1 (5-5 ATS).

Totals have been Under for two of the last three and check in at 16-17 on the season to date. Rui
Hachimura tops the team with 20.1 ppg. He was held in check in the loss to the Gaels with just 9
points. Brandon Clarke averages 16.5 ppg and 8.4 boards.

Fairleigh Dickinson vs. Gonzaga March Madness Prediction

Tuesday’s win over Prairie View A&M marked the first NCAA Tournament victory for Fairleigh
Dickinson. They were also in the First Four back in 2016 versus Florida Gulf Coast, but they were
routed by a score of 96-65.

Gonzaga has been a mainstay in March Madness with a streak of appearances that stretches back to
1999. The program has made it as far as the Sweet Sixteen in each of the last three years. In 2017,
they made it to the finals versus North Carolina, losing by a score of 71-65.

The Bulldogs are clearly the better team on paper and should cruise to an easy win as a result.
However, the Knights have been playing with a lot of pep in their step of late. We like them plus the
points as a result.

Fairleigh Dickinson Knights vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs NCAA Tournament Pick: Fairleigh
Dickinson +26.5 (-110)
