Spread: Nevada Wolf Pack -2 (-110)
Florida’s regular season SEC record of 9-9 left a lot to be desired, but the team made it all the way to
the conference semifinal before losing to Auburn by three points. The Gators are 19-15 (15-19 ATS)
on the season.
Nevada was in control of the Mountain West for much of the regular season and finished in a tie atop
the standings with Utah State at 15-3. The team fell in the conference semifinal to San Diego State by
nine points. The Wolf Pack check in with an overall record of 29-4 (17-14-1 ATS).
Not much was expected of Florida in the SEC tourney after the team dropped its last three regular
season games. However, they would handle business versus Arkansas before upsetting LSU to reach
the semis. Over the last 10 games overall, the Gators are 6-4 (7-3 ATS).
Team totals are 11-23 on the season with the Under being the correct call for three of the last four.
KeVaughn Allen tops the team in scoring with 12.0 ppg. Kevarrius Hayes and Jalen Hudson led the
way in the loss to Auburn with 16 points apiece.
Nevada Wolf Pack
Nevada surged through the early part of conference play at 11-1, but losses in two of the final six
allowed Utah State to catch up. After taking down Boise State in its first MW tournament game, the
Wolf Pack came up short versus San Diego State. For the last 10, the Wolf Pack are 7-3 (3-7 ATS).
Totals have been Under for two of the last three and lean that way on the year at 13-19. Caleb Martin
tops the team with 19.2 ppg. Jordan Caroline contributes 17.3 ppg and 9.6 rpg. He’s listed as
probable for Thursday’s game with an achilles injury. Cody Martin was the leading scorer last time
out with 16 points.
Florida vs. Nevada March Madness Prediction
The Gators were in the tournament last year, falling to Texas Tech in round two by a score of 69-66.
The Wolf Pack were also invited to the dance last year. They made it to the Sweet Sixteen before
dropping a 1-point decision to Loyola-Chicago.
Nevada gets the nod on offense, but Florida is the stronger defensive squad. If the Gators had a little
more depth, we could be talked into an upset. That’s not the case, so we’re rolling with Nevada
minus the points.
