Game Preview

The Grizzlies punched their ticket to the dance with a 68-62 victory over Eastern Washington in the
Big Sky tournament final as 6-point favorites. They were the best team in the conference during the
regular season at 16-4. Montana brings an overall record of 26-8 (14-18 ATS to the table.

The Wolverines made it the Big Ten championship game versus nemesis Michigan State on Sunday.
They fell by a score of 65-60 as 1.5-point favorites, marking their third loss of the year to the
Spartans. On the year, Michigan is 28-6 (19-15 ATS).

Montana Grizzlies

Montana’s regular season was highlighted by a 10-game winning streak which stretched from
January into February. The team won all three of its Big Sky tournament games by six-points or
more. Over their last 10 outings, the Grizzlies are 8-2 (5-5 ATS).

Team totals have been Under for the last two, but they lean towards the Over on the year at 20-12.
Sayeed Pridgett was the top performer in the win over Eastern Washington with 18 points. He’s
averaging 15.0 ppg. Ahmaad Rorie contributes 15.1 ppg.

Michigan Wolverines

Michigan opened up the season on a 17-0 run. They were solid in Big Ten play at 15-5, but key
losses left them one-game behind co-leaders Michigan State and Purdue when all was said and done.
For the last 10 games, the Wolverines are 6-4 (6-4 ATS).

Totals have been Under for the last three in a row and skew that way at 13-20 on the season. Ignas
Brazdeikis is the top option on offense for Michigan with 15.1 ppg. He led the way in the loss versus
the Spartans with 19 points. Jordan Poole adds in 12.8 ppg.

Montana vs. Michigan March Madness Prediction

These two squads squared off in the opening round of last year’s tournament, with Michigan picking
up a 61-47 win. The Wolverines made it all the way to the title game, but they lost to Villanova by a
score of 79-62. Michigan made it to the Sweet Sixteen in 2017, but they were bounced in the first
round by Notre Dame in 2016.

The Wolverines are obviously the better team on paper, and they’re healthy 15-point favorites over
an outclassed Montana team as a result. The regular season and the Big Ten tourney were
disappointments for Michigan, but we’ll look for them to open up the tournament with a bang and
cover.
