Game Preview

To advance to round one, the Bison had to survive a First Four game with North Carolina Central on
Wednesday. They did just that with a 78-74 win as 4.5-point favorites. On the season, North Dakota
State is 19-15 (14-16-2) and 9-7 in Summit League play.

On Saturday, the Blue Devils took down Florida State by a score of 73-63 in the ACC championship
game as 7.5-point favorites. Duke beat Syracuse in its tourney opener, and followed that up by
defeating North Carolina in the semis. For the year, Duke checks in at 29-5 (18-16 ATS).

North Dakota State Bison

The Bison were average during the regular season, but they won the Summit League championship
with a 73-63 defeat of Omaha in the final game as 3.5-point underdogs. For their last 10 outings, the
team is 7-3 (6-4 ATS).

Totals stand at 20-11 to date with the Over coming in for three of the last four. Vinnie Shahid is the
top option on offense for the Bison. He’s averaging 12.8 ppg and 2.7 dimes. Tyson Ward contributes
12.6 ppg and 6.3 boards. In the win over Omaha, Ward led the way with 23 points.

Duke Blue Devils

The Blue Devils closed out the regular season with a record of 14-4 in conference play. That left
them two games behind ACC co-leaders North Carolina and Virginia when all was said and done.
Over the last 10 games, Duke has a record of 7-3 (3-6-1 ATS).

The Under has been the correct call for five of the team’s last six games, and totals skew that way on
the year at 9-23-2. RJ Barrett tops the team in scoring with 22.9 ppg. Zion Williamson adds in 22.1
ppg and 8.9 boards. Williamson was the leading scorer in the victory over Syracuse with 21 points.

North Dakota State vs. Duke March Madness Prediction

North Dakota State’s last appearance came back in 2015 when they lost to Gonzaga in their opening
game by 10 points. Last year, Duke made it to the Midwest Regional finals. They lost to Kansas in
OT by a score of 85-81.In 2017, they were bounced in the second round, while they made it to the
regional semifinals in 2016.

The Bison are outclassed here, and there’s little doubt that the Blue Devils will get the win. We’ll
take Duke to cover the hefty spread and advance to round two.
