Game Preview

The Buckeyes struggled in Big Ten play with a record of 8-12. They defeated Indiana by four points
in the conference tourney, but fell to Michigan State in the quarterfinals 77-70 as 11-point underdogs.
For the year, Ohio State is 19-14 (14-19 ATS).

The Cyclones lost their final three games of the regular season to finish up at 9-9 in Big 12 play, but
the team caught fire in the conference tourney. They took on Kansas in the final as 1-point
underdogs, walking away with a 78-66 win. On the season, Iowa State is 23-11 (18-14-2 ATS).

Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State was an excellent 12-1 in non-conference play, but they opened up the Big Ten season
with a five-game losing streak. The Buckeyes didn’t recover from that point and finished well behind
the pack in the conference standings. For the last 10 games, the team is 3-7 (4-6 ATS).

Totals have been Over for six of the last seven and check in at 17-15-1 on the year. Kaleb Wesson is
the top option on offense with averages of 14.4 ppg and 6.8 rpg. C.J. Jackson adds in 12.2 ppg and
3.2 apg. Last time out, Keyshawn Woods was the top scorer with 16 points.

Iowa State Cyclones

Inconsistency was the name of the game for Iowa State during the regular season. They looked like
world beaters at certain times, but that was offset by contests in which they brought less than their
best. Over their last 10, the Cyclones are 5-5 (5-5 ATS).

Totals have been Over for five of the last six and check in at 17-16 to date. Marial Shayok tops the
team in scoring with 18.6 ppg. He led the way in the conference final win over Kansas with 15
points. Michael Jacobson contributes 11.5 ppg and 6.0 boards.

Ohio State vs. Iowa State March Madness Prediction

Last year, Ohio State defeated South Dakota in the first-round by eight points before falling in round
two to Gonzaga by a score of 90-84. Iowa State returns to the dance after a one-year absence. In
2017, they were bounced in the second round by Purdue.

The Buckeyes have not been playing well of late, while the Cyclones have caught fire and look like a
team that could make some noise in the tourney. We like Iowa State to win and cover.
