Game Preview

The Panthers punched their ticket to the dance with a 92-86 victory over Texas Southern in
Saturday’s SWAC tournament final, a game which they entered as 1.5-point underdogs. Prairie View
A&M is 22-12 (18-14-1 ATS) on the year.

Fairleigh Dickinson brings a record of 20-13 (18-13 ATS) to the table. Last Tuesday, they squared
off with St. Francis in the Northeast Conference tournament final. They stepped on the floor as 4.5-
point underdogs, but they were able to walk off with an 85-76 win.

Prairie View A&M Panthers

Prairie View A&M opened up the regular season in rough shape by dropping 11 of its first 12 games.
However, the program turned things around dramatically once the calendar turned to 2019. Over
their last 10, the team is a perfect 10-0 (7-3 ATS).

Team totals have been Over for six of the last seven, and they lean that way on the year at 20-13.
Gary Blackston is the top option on offense for the Panthers. He’s averaging 15.2 ppg and 7.0 boards.
Devonte Patterson is next up with 13.4 ppg. Blackston and Dennis Jones led the way in the victory
over Texas Southern with 17 points apiece.

Fairleigh Dickinson Knights

Fairleigh Dickinson opened the season up in much better shape, but they did suffer through some
ebbs and flows as it moved along. The club did wrap things up on high note. For their last 10 outings,
the Knights are 9-1 (8-2 ATS).

Totals have been Under for four of the last five and lean that way on the year at 14-17. Darnell Edge
is the top scoring option for Fairleigh Dickinson. He’s averaging 16.4 ppg, 3.5 boards, and 2.4 dimes.
Jahil Jenkins is the next option with 13.5 ppg. Edge topped the team in the win over St. Francis with
21 points.

Prairie View A&M vs. Fairleigh Dickinson Prediction

These two programs last faced off back in 2012 with Fairleigh Dickinson coming out on top by a
score of 84-70. The Panthers get the edge on offense, while the Knights are the stronger defensive
squad. Fairleigh Dickinson also gets the nod in true shooting percentage, and we’ll look for that to be
the difference maker as they win and cover.

Prairie View A&M Panthers vs. Fairleigh Dickinson Knights Pick: Fairleigh Dickinson -1.5 (-
