Game Preview

The Huskies were the best team in the Pac-12 during the regular season with a record of 15-3 in
conference. They would make it to the finals of the conference tourney before being walloped by
Oregon by a score of 68-48. Overall, Washington is 26-8 (17-16-1 ATS).

The Aggies tied with Nevada for the best record in the Mountain West during the regular season at
15-3. The team’s strong play carried over into the conference tournament, where they defeated San
Diego State in the final by a score of 64-57. Utah State is 28-6 (18-15 ATS) on the year.

Washington Huskies

While Washington was the best team in the conference on an overall basis during the regular season,
they did close things out with two losses over their final four games. They bounced back with a pair
of wins in the Pac-12 tourney before dropping the final to Oregon. Over the last 10, the Huskies are
7-3 (3-7 ATS).

Totals stand at 11-23 for the year with the Under being the correct call for three of the last four.
Jaylen Nowell is the top option on offense. He’s averaging 16.2 ppg, but he was held to just 8 points
versus Oregon. David Crisp adds in 12.5 ppg, while Noah Dickerson contributes 12.2.

Utah State Aggies

Utah State closed out the regular season riding a seven-game winning streak. The hot play continued
through the conference tournament, as the Aggies are a perfect 10-0 (7-3 ATS) for their last 10
outings. The current run of excellence is the team’s longest winning streak of the season.

Totals are in the middle at 17-16 thus far, but the Under has come in for the last two. Sam Merrill
leads the way on offense with averages of 21.2 ppg and 4.2 dimes. Neemias Queta is next up with
11.9 ppg and 8.9 boards. Merrill led the team in the conference final with 24 points.

Washington vs. Utah State March Madness Prediction

This will be Utah State’s first appearance in the tournament since 2011. They lost in the first round to
Kansas State by a score of 73-68. The Huskies will also be making their first dance appearance since
2011. They made it to the second round before falling by three points to North Carolina.

Washington has an edge on defense, but it’s Utah State across the board outside of that. We like the
Aggies to win and cover as they advance to round two.
