Westgate Odds to Win 2020 CFP Title

College football spring practices have been underway this month. And many of the schools ended the early 2019 gridiron work with their spring games on Friday and Saturday. A number of the elite programs culminated the spring with their inter-squad contests including Ohio State, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, UCLA, Alabama and others.

Spring Game Notes
  • WagerTalk sources from Ann Arbor reported that the Michigan spring event was more of a practice. The event was open to the public and was for the most part informal.
  • There was no shortage of excitement from the Ohio State Buckeye fans that sent me emails. Transfer quarterback Justin Fields was in fall form according to reports. He connected on a 90-plus yard pass to receiver Binjimen Victor.  Fields also completed a number of passes to the young core of receivers in Columbus including highly touted Garrett Wilson.
  • Former Alabama and now-Oklahoma starting quarterback Jalen Hurts was impressive. Hurts led the Red squad to a 35-14 victory over the White on Friday in Oklahoma’s spring contest.
  • The Crimson Tide “White” team took down Tua Tagovailoa and his squad in Bama’s Friday spring event.
