Odds to Win 2019 Heisman Trophy
Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Kyler Murray won the 2018 Heisman Trophy. The OU signal-caller didn’t take long to make a decision to return his Major League Baseball bonus and enter the NFL draft. Odds to Win 2019 Heisman Trophy: Tua 5-2.
With Murray departing the college ranks the bookmakers were able to eliminate him from their 2019 Heisman Futures. This year’s runner-up to Murray, Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, is the early favorite by most Vegas and Offshore sportsbooks to win the 2019 award.
Tagovailoa was the 2018 runner-up in the Heisman balloting. Furthermore he will not only be the favorite entering Week “0” but until the Crimson Tide lose a game. If ‘Bama lose a 2019 contest. It is difficult to imagine that Tua will do anything but get better as a junior. His patience as a passer in combination with his awareness in the pocket makes him difficult to defend. It’s hard, if not impossible, to make a case for any other player, especially quarterback, in this year’s crop to top the early College Football Futures chart.
Tagovailoa was most college football analysts’ choice to win last year’s Heisman before the Crimson Tide signal-caller suffered a late season injury.

The Ohio State signal-caller threw for 50 touchdowns and finished third in the Heisman voting last December. Haskins announced in early January that he would forgo his final two seasons of collegiate eligibility and declare for the 2019 NFL draft.
