Will the ACC reign supreme once again? Since 2009, the ACC has produced four NCAA men’s basketball national champions (make that five if you include Louisville who’s currently a member of the ACC, but wasn’t when they won in 2013). The Golden Nugget in Las Vegas has released odds on which conference will produce the 2018 NCAA Tournament winner, with the ACC as strong 2/1 favorites followed by the Big Ten (4/1), Pac-12 (5/1), Big XII (6/1) and SEC (6/1).

In the current AP Poll, the ACC has the most ranked teams in the country with five. Everyone knew how good Duke was going to be, but most pundits expected some regression from North Carolina this season. The Tar Heels have been impressive early, winning their first five games by double-digits.

5: ACC (Duke, North Carolina, Miami, Notre Dame, and Louisville)
4: SEC (Florida, Kentucky, Texas A&M, and Alabama)
3: Pac-12 (Arizona, USC and UCLA)
3: Big XII (Kansas, Baylor and West Virginia)
3: Big Ten Michigan State, Minnesota and Purdue)
3: Big East (Villanova, Xavier, and Seton Hall)
2: AAC (Wichita State and Cincinnati)
2: West Coast (Gonzaga and St. Mary’s).
