Rockets have a 57-14 record (37-33-1 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit in the first place of the West. They have won 23 of their last 24 matches and in their last game they won on the road against the Blazers with a 115-111 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by James Harden with a league-best 31.2 ppg, adding 5.2 rebounds and a team high 8.7 assists per game. He is followed by Chris Paul with 18.8 ppg, adding 5.6 rebounds and 7.9 assists per game, while Eric Gordon adds 18 ppg.

He is followed by Andre Drummond with 15 ppg, adding team highs in rebounding with 15.7 per game, in steals with 1.6 per game and in blocked shots with 1.6 per game.

In their previous meeting earlier this season, Pistons won at home with a 108-101 score. Rockets are 27-6 at home so far this season, while Pistons are 11-25 on the road. Houston are better offensively, scoring a second-best 113.7 ppg to Pistons’ 102.9, while Pistons are better defensively, allowing 103.9 ppg to Rockets’ 104.8. Rockets have a better field goal percentage, shooting with 46.35% to Pistons’ 44.74%, while Pistons have a better 3-point percentage, shooting with 37.31% to Rockets’ 36.73%. Pistons are also better in assists made (22.4 to 21.7), while both teams grab almost the same number of rebounds (43.4 and 43.3). Rockets are the absolute favorite and Pistons don’t pose a threat in Houston. Vegas odds give Rockets a -11 spread and expect them to beat the odds for the home win.
