Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is issuing politically correct coach-speak when asked whether he is playing all-in for the Premier League over the Champions League title. However he is not being definitive about his game plan. “For all Liverpool fans it’s the Premier League, that’s clear,” Klopp told News.com.au.“But now we play Champions League and you all expect we do our best. Thank God we don’t have to make the decision today. We do not know today or tomorrow.”

The German, who confirmed he had “two phone calls” with Bayern over their manager’s job in 2008, insists he is “very much” in love with Liverpool. However said they have not achieved anything as of yet.

“The best thing we did all together is that we are a competitor, that’s not enough,” said Klopp, still searching for his first trophy at the club having lost three major finals.

With a mission critical match upcoming this weekend the United crew warned Liverpool that they have “another gear” at Old Trafford on Sunday.

United comes off a 2-0 win over Chelsea in the FA Cup on Monday to make it 11 wins from 13 games under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Furthermore midfielder Ashley Young told the media this week they are ready to step it up against Jurgen Klopp’s title challengers.
