Everton met a really harsh loss at home against Wolves over the weekend and have not been in really good form lately. They will now have a massive task coming their way on Wednesday when they will host Manchester City. Manchester City did great to bounce back from a tough loss against Newcastle, blasting Arsenal in a huge match.

Everton (9-10-6) played a fairly balanced match at home against Wolves over the weekend but it went south pretty fast. Their opponents took the lead at just the 7th minute from the penalty spot but Everton pulled even shortly after. But their opponents were more lucky with their shots and managed to score two more goals, forcing Everton to a tough 3-1 home loss. Everton have now lost three of their last four, keeping clean sheets in their wins and scoring in their losses (2-3-0). They are now sitting at the 9th spot of the league table with 33 points, 11 ahead of the relegation zone but also 15 behind the top five. Everton have been mediocre at home so far (6-4-3) and have won just two of their last seven there (2-3-2).
On the other hand, Manchester City (19-4-2) are coming off a great performance at home against Arsenal in their last match. They made a great start and took the lead at the opening minute with Aguero but Arsenal pulled even four minutes later. Aguero went on to score two more goals in that match and grabbed a nice win for Manchester City after a tough loss against Newcastle. City are still sitting at the 2nd spot of the league table with 59 points, three behind Liverpool and two ahead of Tottenham. Manchester City have been really good on the road so far (7-3-2) but have won just three of their last seven away matches in all competitions (3-3-1). At least they only failed to score once in that span but also kept just two clean sheets in that span.
Manchester City were excellent when they hosted Everton earlier in the season, beating them by 1-3 at home. They also have the upper have in this match-up in the last five (2-1-2) and have also been great in this venue over the past five years (3-2-2).
Both teams need the win here, each for its own reasons, and we can certainly expect a hard match between the two. I will go with the Over 3.25 Goals here, as both teams are also very prone to high-scoring matches.
Premier League Everton vs Manchester City Prediction: Over 3.25 Goals (+106)
