Manchester City did a great job to bounce back from that horrible loss against Newcastle and have now won two in a row. They will not have an easy job making it three in a row, as they will play host to Chelsea on Sunday. Chelsea are coming off a nice win over Hudderfsield that washed off the shame of a massive loss against Bournemouth last week.

Spread: Chelsea +1.25

Total: 3 Goals

Manchester City (20-4-2) were simply excellent in their away match against Everton on Wednesday, beating them by an easy 2-0. They took the lead at the end of the first half and secured the win with another goal at the stoppage time of the second half for the final 2-0. Manchester City have now won two in a row after losing to Newcastle, and will be hoping to continue their streak. They are back to the 2nd spot with 62 points, three behind Liverpool and five ahead of Chelsea. City have been the best team at home so far in the league (12-1-0), scoring 43 goals and conceding just 11 in the process. Moreover, they have won each of their last six home matches in all competitions, keeping four clean sheets in the process.

On the other hand, Chelsea (15-5-5) had a much easier job in their home match against Huddersfield over the weekend. They bounced back from a heavy loss to Bournemouth, as they blasted Huddersfield by a strong 0-5. Higuain scored two goals in that match, just as many as Hazard, while David Luiz scored the final goal. But Chelsea have been struggling lately, winning just two of their last five matches in all competitions (2-2-1). Chelsea are now sitting at the 5th spot of the league table with 50 points, just as many as Arsenal below them. They have been quite competitive on the road (7-4-1) but have lost each of their last three away matches while also failing to score in all three.

Chelsea did great to beat Manchester City by 0-2 at home in the first round of the league, but it was Manchester City who won the previous three matches. City have also been excellent as hosts against Chelsea (3-1-1 in the last five) but I think we will not see too many goals here.

Only three of the last ten matches between the two sides featured three goals or more, so I will follow that trend and pick the Under 3 Goals on this one.

Premier League Manchester City vs Chelsea Prediction: Under 3 Goals (-121)
