Watford had some good amounts of luck in their last match where they beat Crystal Palace on the road. They have quietly built a small undefeated streak but they have been really struggling with consistency this season. They will now return home after three consecutive matches on the road, where they will play host to Burnley on Saturday. Burnley have been really bad throughout the whole season but are coming into this match having won four in a row.

Watford (9-8-5) were not very good in the first half of their away match against Crystal Palace last week. Their opponents were slightly better but took the lead when Watford scored an own goal at the 38th minute by Cathcart. But it was the same player who erased his mistake when he pulled even at the 67th minute, before Cleverley overturned the lead in Watford’s favor just seven minutes later for the final 2-1. That was their second consecutive win and they are now undefeated in their last four (2-0-2). Watford are now sitting at the 7th spot of the league table with 32 points, one ahead of Leicester and West Ham. They have been hit-or-miss at home so far (5-5-1) but have won just once in their last five (1-3-1). There were goals from both sides in each of their last four home matches, and three of those also had Over 2.5 Goals.
On the other hand, Burnley (6-13-3) hit the jackpot in their last match, as they beat Fulham by 1-2 without recording a single shot on the opposing target. Their opponents stunned them early in the match when they took the lead at just the 2nd minute with Schurrle. However, Bryan scored an own goal at the 20th minute to pull even for Burnley, and then Odoi scored another own goal just three minutes later! Insane things, but that’s how Burnley won in their last match and they have now won four in a row in all competitions. They are now sitting at the 15th spot of the Premier League with 21 points, just three ahead of the relegation zone. They have been weak on the road so far (2-7-2) and have failed to score in three of their last five.
Watford did some damage to Burnley in the first round when they beat them by 3-1 on the road, but it is Burnley who won both matches last season. The two teams have a long history of matches played in the Championship, and there has been total balance in this venue since 2001 (6-6-3).
Eight of the last nine matches between the two sides in this venue featured at least Over 2.5 Goals, and eight also had goals from both sides. Burnley do have somewhat of a trouble scoring, but Watford’s defense has been really bad all season. I will go with the Over2.5 Goals here.
