Wolves have been spectacular lately, at least for a team that only recently were promoted to the Premier League. The newcomers have been firing in all cylinders lately and that is the reason for their four wins in their last five. They will now look to keep their winning streak going on Monday, when they will play host to Newcastle. Newcastle are coming off a tough loss against Tottenham but surprised Manchester City in their previous match.

Wolves (11-9-5) are coming off a really anxious 2-3 win at home against Shrewsbury in the second leg of the FA Cup round of 32. Wolves did great to hold out for a 2-2 draw in the first leg but found themselves down by 2-1 at home in the second leg. But they did great to win that match by 2-3 and moved on to the next round. In their previous match they easily beat Everton by 3-1 on the road and have now won three in a row and are undefeated in their last five (4-0-1). Moreover, they have scored multiple goals in each of their last five and scored three goals in four of those matches. Wolves are now sitting at the 7th spot of the league table with 38 points, just one ahead of Watford but also 12 behind Chelsea and Arsenal. They have been quite competitive at home so far (6-5-2), where they have won each of their last four.
On the other hand, Newcastle (6-13-6) played a really hard match on the road against Tottenham in their last match. They were actually holding out for a draw until the later stages of that match, but conceded the only goal of the match at the 83rd minute for the final 0-1. In their previous match they pulled off a massive upset when they beat Manchester City by 1-2 at home. Newcastle have not been in very bad form over the last five (2-2-1), but have kept just a single clean sheet in their last ten matches in all competitions. They are now sitting at the 17th spot of the league table with 24 points, just as many as Southampton who are below the red line. They have not been very strong on the road so far (2-5-5) and have not won any of the last five away matches in all competitions.
Wolves scored a late goal to beat Newcastle by 2-1 on the road in the first round of the Premier League. However, it is Newcastle who have the upper hand in this match-up over the years (4-3-4) and have also been great in this venue (2-1-2).
Newcastle have scored in all their matches in the Molineaux over the years but Wolves have the upper hand at home. This looks like it can easily get out of hand score-wise, so I will take my chances with the Over 2.25 Goals here.
Premier League Wolves vs Newcastle Prediction: Over 2.25 Goals (-102)
