Erickson Lubin vs. Terrell Gausha [Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut, Sept. 19th]

Saturday night’s Premier Boxing Champions card from Connecticut is highlighted by Erickson “The Hammer” Lubin vs. former U.S Olympian Terrell Gausha at 154 pounds. Sixteen of Lubin’s 21 victories have come via knockout, including a R3 stoppage of Ishe Smith in February 2019 and a R4 knockout of Zakaria Attou four months later.

Gausha was an amateur star in Cleveland, winning the city’s Golden Gloves Championship five times before becoming a two-time national champion. He represented the U.S. in the 2012 Olympics and scored an R3 knockout in his opening bout.

Efe Ajagba vs. Jonathan Rice [MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Sept. 19th]
This fight was just made on September 11, so neither man will have a whole lot of film prep. This will be Efe Ajagba’s first fight under Top Rank. The 26-year-old is 13-0 with 11 wins via knockout. He represented Nigeria in the 2016 Olympics before turning professional in 2017.

Jonathan Rice’s career has taken him all over the globe. Since 2017, he has fought in France, the U.S., Mexico, Canada and Australia. Rice was riding a three-fight winning streak before dropping a title fight to Demsey McKean in March.
