College Football Games of the Year
The Texas A&M Aggies began the season understanding that three of their games in 2019 would come against the preseason top-three ranked teams, Clemson, Alabama, and Georgia. The Aggies kick off the season with a Saturday walk-in-the-park when they host Texas State at College Station. It was the Week 2 contest that would forecast whether Jimbo Fisher’s squad was going to play-to or disappoint those that prognosticated quarterback Kellen Mond and the Aggies would contend for an SEC West title. NCAAF Games of the Year: LSU -20 over Texas AM.
The Aggies not only have the preseason top-three on their 2019 slate but the schedule also included an early meet versus Auburn and a regular season-ending event against LSU in Baton Rouge.
The Aggies did in fact cruise in their season opener versus Texas State recording a 41-7 victory over the Bobcats. Fisher’s boys also competed in Week 2 with the top-ranked Clemson Tigers eventually falling to the Tigers 24-10 straight up but cashed for their backers against the closing number (+17.5).
Aggies aim for 7-Win Season
Texas A&M’s five games since losing to Dabo Swinney’s Clemson crew have seen them beat Lamar, Arkansas and most recently Ole Miss. The Aggies lost to ranked Auburn at home and to now-No. 1 Alabama at Tuscaloosa.
The Aggies are 4-3 overall on the season and 2-2 in SEC play. They are not going to challenge for a spot in the SEC title tilt and projecting the team’s final five games are most likely to end the regular season with a 7-5 overall record and post-Christmas and pre-New Year’s day bowl game.
The World’s Largest Race and Sportsbook, WestGate of Las Vegas, positioned the LSU Tigers as minus-10 point Game of the Year favorites for the November 30th game versus Texas A&M. In the most recent update, below, you will find that the then-Tigers minus-10 is a now-Tigers minus-20.
