The RBC Heritage is played at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina.  It is a 7,101 yard Par 71 course where accuracy and course management will be keys to winning this tournament.  Unlike most tournament fields, this event will feature a lot of short hitters that are very accurate compared to the tournaments that favor the bombers.  A lot of what I am looking for with these matchups are golfers that are in good current form and have a good course history at this event.  Keep in mind that this is a course that is right off the ocean, so wind very well may play a factor.  It is always a good idea to look at weather reports and match them up with tee times to see if an edge can be gained.  Wind is mainly what you should look for when looking for weather reports.  Here are some matchups that I am on:

Luke Donald +105 vs. Jason Dufner

Donald is in good form right now and has a great course history at Harbour Town.   He has played this course 7 times and has made the cut every time. Donald has a top 15 and two top 5’s in his last 3 times playing this event.  Dufner is in decent form and is a solid player all around.  He has played this course okay, but not as solid as Donald has in the past.  We are hoping that continues this weekend.

Sean O’Hair -110 vs. Tony Finau

O’Hair is playing good golf right now and his stats really fit this golf course.   He is also entering this tournament coming off a 6th place finish here last year.  Finau is a solid golfer who is coming off a victory a few weeks back at the Puerto Rico Open, but for this course I do not believe he checks out.  Finau is a bomber that does not have much accuracy off the tee.  He also does not putt well on Bermuda greens.  Looking for O’Hair to finish better than Finau here.

Jerry Kelly -120 vs. Jason Bohn

Kelly has the stats that fit this event very well, and his course history proves it.  Kelly has made the cut every year since 2009 at Harbour Town.  He is also entering this event in good form.  Jason Bohn also has stats that check out well here; however, Bohn has not played an event since the Honda Classic where he had to withdraw from the tournament due to a very serious “heart attack.”  Bohn is a solid golfer that is very accurate, so it would not surprise me to see him play well, but he really does not have a history of playing great here.  Bohn would not be playing in this event if he were not cleared to play, but it is hard to back him knowing the psychological aspect of his situation.

Scott Brown -110 vs. KJ Choi

Brown is playing very good golf right now.  He is a very accurate player with an excellent long iron game.  Brown also has the stats that fit this course, and he has a good course history at Harbour Town.  Brown has played the event 3 times and made the cut all three years.  He also finished 5th here in 2014. Choi is an accurate golfer who plays well some events where his stats do not check out, but he has not played that well at Hilton Head.  He’s played this event  3 times and has made the cut twice, finishing 31st and 18th.  Although Choi has the capability of having a nice finish, I do not expect him to play better than Scott Brown.

Here are some golfers that I think are much better than their price is suggesting:

Scott Brown 80-1

Francesco Molinari 80-1

Marc Leishman 60-1

Danny Lee 50-1

Russell Knox 50-1

Branden Grace 40-1

David Lingmerth 100-1
