FIRST POST DAILY  1:05 PM (Except Saturday, April 9 & Saturday, April 16 – 12:35 PM)

April 15, 2016
Today at Keeneland by SIG (@SIGLasVegas)

Race 1-
5- Whyruawesome (5/2 ML) class dropper who takes off the blinkers today for Murphy (25%), second start off a nice layoff and may just try to get and hold the lead in this spot
6- Tale of Honor (3/1 ML) won last out at Oaklawn Park in wire-to-wire fashion, steps up today, but a similar performance can win here
2- Emmett Park (6/1 ML) has hit the board in 3 of his last 5 races, but seems to prefer poly versus dirt, still not counting him out today

Race 2 –
1- Union Jackson (4/5 ML) 3-1-0 in 5 career starts, and won in his only appearance at Keeneland last year at this distance, should be able to maintain his streak today
2- Den’s Legacy (4/1 ML) making his third start off a layoff today after consecutive runner-up finishes at Oaklawn last month, not a huge fan of the jock, but looks like a good spot for this horse and you won’t get close to the 4-1 ML at post time
4- Officer Griffin (5/1 ML) making first start after being claimed out of the Sharp barn last out when he was soundly beaten as the favorite, has run well in tougher company previously and could return to form

Race 3 –
6- Delusional K K (2/1 ML) has finished first or second in 9 consecutive starts dating back to June 2015 and it doesn’t seem to matter where they place her, she just runs
4- See Through (4/1 ML) first start off a two month layoff for this one who didn’t fare well in his two starts at Fair Grounds in January before being given a break, ran 2nd here last fall and interesting jockey selection in Van Dyke who is here to ride Miss Temple City in the Maker’s Mark Mile later in the card
1- Sweet Miss Lou (7/2 ML) was beaten soundly on the turf last out at Fair Grounds, but had three wins and a second while bouncing between barns since last fall on the dirt and all at this distance

Race 4 –
11- Angelic Score (3/1 ML) mare has 6 wins in 11 starts on a fast track in her career and has made up the Exacta in 5 of her past 7 races, making her first start off the claim and will have the experience of Lanerie in the irons
7- Rusticana (5/2 ML) dropping to the lowest level this one has seen, and making her third start off a nice long layoff she has one win and four runner-up finishes in 8 career starts over the Keeneland surface
8- Our Adieu (8/1 ML) filly has hit the board in six of her seven career starts and comes in off of a seven month layoff, 2-1-1 in four career dirt starts could surprise if she is ready to fire today

Race 5-
9- Urban Bourbon (5/2 ML) this one like to close and I would normally question that in a short sprint like today, but some nice 4f works recently are pointing me towards this one
6- Silent Mission (8/1 ML) debuted at Fair Grounds on 2/27 in a turf route where he went to the front and held until the second turn when the field caught up as he ran out of gas, but has been flying in two 5f works since his debut and will try to hold off our top selection in the stretch today
7- John Q. Public (6/1 ML) has been running in stakes since winning his debut in July 2015 and performed well in his only turf appearance at Kentucky Downs in September before a trainer change to Wilkes. Will be making his second start off a layoff and should appreciate the class drop today.

Race 6-
9- Privy Council (1/1 ML) Pletcher trainee has been a bridesmaid twice, but has yet to break her maiden in three attempts, this is her second attempt at this distance and third start off a layoff which are both good trainer angles in this spot
3- Verve’s Tale (6/1 ML) filly has hit the board in all three of her career starts, but has yet to see the winner’s circle. She has been off since 2/14, but has been working regularly during the layoff so we expect that Tagg will have her ready for today
1- Alotta Skirt (6/1 ML) Kenneally has sent four out so far at this meet and three have hit the board so I am sure that they have been schooled and this one has been off for 47 days preparing for this spot

Race 7-
5- Apologynotaccepted (7/5 ML) this mare won her career debut wire-to-wire (at age 5) in March at Gulfstream and then Mott took over the training duties and put Lezcano in the irons today who is winning 23% of his mounts early in the meet
4- Improv (4/1 ML) filly broker her maiden last out at Gulfstream Park on 3/18 and his hit the board in two of three career starts. Fired a bullet work on 4/8 over the Keeneland surface 4f in .47 and should be ready today for her Keeneland debut
7- I’ll Take Charge (5/1 ML) filly has hit the board in all three of her career starts but has not seen the track since a third place finish at Saratoga in August. Regular works resumed in February so it appears that she is physically ready to go today

Race 8-
8- Chipit (4/1 ML) four-year-old colt out of Tapit is making his third start (26%) off of a long layoff for Pletcher and his hit the board in four of five career starts
2- Spring Quality (9/2 ML) found it interesting that Motion entered this gelding in this spot so I am going with the “they know something” feeling I got in my stomach when handicapping this race. Undefeated in two career starts (with 18 months between them) if he can translate the form he ran last out at Tampa as this one loves to close in the stretch
3- Blaze’n Prospector (6/1 ML) colt comes in off of a two month break for trainer Stall after winning his last three appearances and gets Saez in the irons who has been on fire to start off this meet

Race 9- this was a difficult race to handicap and I would suggest spreading out if you are playing multi-race wagers as a number of these can win
3- Heart to Heart (3/1 ML) well this guy likes to go to the front and stay there against some pretty tough competition so we believe Leparoux will use the same tactics today and try to hold off some hard charging competition. He has won his past three races and four of his past five
4- Tourist (7/2 ML) The last time we saw this five-year-old was right here at Keeneland in the Breeder’s Cup Mile where he may have had an issue as he was running with the leaders until the 3/8 pole. Has been working regularly and should be ready today for Mott
9- Reload (6/1 ML) seven-year-old is coming in off of a two month layoff after winning the Tampa Bay Stakes on 2/13 and Castellano is aboard again for McGaughey who has guided this one to four wins in his past six rides

Race 10-
6- Going Strong (7/2 ML) gelding is making his second start off a layoff (25%) and getting Lasix for a second time after a third place finish first off the layoff at Fair Grounds on 3/18. Hot jock Geroux is aboard and Cox adds blinkers (18%) today
7- L T’s Best Tale (5/1 ML) may be completely wrong about this one but colt hasn’t raced since a trainer change last October after failing on the turf, a return to the dirt today and a drop to Maiden Claiming ranks could be just what this one needs
1- Regulatory (9/2 ML) trainer Moquett ships this one in from Oaklawn where he had the only two starts of his young career and I have the feeling that this one figures things out today

Today’s Best Bet Race 5 #9 Urban Bourbon (12: 4-5-0, $57.80/$72.00 -$14.20)

Today’s Best Value Race 4 #8 Our Adieu (9: 0-1-2, $17.40/$54.00 -$36.60)

Results graded on $2 WPS bets
