College World Series Betting Odds

Ping! Who’s ready for that familiar sound of the aluminum bats at the NCAA College World Series? The 64-team tournament begins on Friday, June 3 at 16 regional sites around the country. After the double-elimination round-robin wraps up, 16 teams will head to next weekend’s Super Regionals to determine the final eight teams heading to Omaha.

The top eight seeds in this year’s tournament are: Florida (47-13), Louisville (47-12), Miami Fla. (45-11), Texas A&M (45-14), Texas Tech (41-16), Mississippi State (41-16-1), Clemson (42-18) and LSU (42-18). Alabama State, Fairfield, St. Mary’s (California) and Utah Valley are participating in their first College World Series this year (Courtesy NCAA.com). If seeds hold true and chalk advances through this weekend, we could be in for a terrific group of Super Regional games next weekend. Potential rivalry matchups include: Clemson vs. South Carolina, TCU vs. Texas A&M, and Florida vs. Florida State. This year’s “group of death” appears to be the Oxford Regional. A case could be made that top-seeded Ole Miss drew the tournament’s best 2-seed (AAC champ Tulane), best 3-seed (Boston College), and best 4-seed (Pac-12 champ Utah).
