Temple will travel to St. Petersburg, Florida to square off against the FIU Golden Panthers on December 21 in the Gasparilla Bowl at Tropicana Field. Gasparilla Bowl Spread: Owls -7 over Panthers.

The Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl is scheduled to kickoff at 8 p.m. ET and will be broadcast by ESPN. The Gasparilla Bowl is formerly known as the St. Petersburg Bowl. Tropicana Field has hosted the annual bowl game since 2008.

FIU (8-4, 5-3 Conference USA) enters the bowl game on a two-game winning streak. Temple (6-6, 4-4 American) closed the season with a 43-22 win over league foe Tulsa 43-22 to become bowl eligible.

Temple averaged 25 points per game while surrendering 28 points per event this season. FIU scored an average of 28 points and allowed 29 per game during the regular slate.

The Vegas and Offshore oddsmakers opened the contest with Temple as a touchdown (minus-7 points) favorite and the total currently rests at 56 points.
