The second and the third best squads of the Western Conference are clashing tonight in this high caliber duel, when the Portland Trail Blazers (39-26), who are red-hot having won their last eight games, are hosting the defending champions Golden State Warriors (51-14), who are running a lengthy winning streak as well but they will be without Steph Curry today.  Golden State Warriors vs Portland Trail Blazers Spread and Prediction.

Date/Time:  03-09-2018, 22:00 EDT

Spread: Portland Trail Blazers +1.5

Total: +222.5

Blazers have a 39-26 record (34-26-5 against the spread) so far this season currently sit in the third place of the West. They have eight consecutive wins and in their last game they won at home against the Knicks with a 111-87 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Damian Lillard with 26.8 ppg, adding 4.5 rebounds and a team high 6.4 assists per game. He is followed by CJ McCollum with 21.6 ppg, while Jusuf Nurkic adds 14 ppg and a team high 8.4 rebounds per game.

Warriors have a 51-14 record (28-36-1 against the spread) so far this season. And Golden State currently rest one-half-game back of first place Houston in the West.  They have seven consecutive wins and in their last game they won at home against the Spurs with a 110-107 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Stephen Curry with 26.3 ppg. The NBA MVP also adds 5.1 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game. He is followed by Kevin Durant with 26.1 ppg, 6.7 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game, while Klay Thompson adds 19.6 ppg.

In their two previous meetings earlier this season, each team won at home (Blazers by 6 points and Warriors by 7). Blazers are 21-11 at home so far this season. The Warriors are 25-7 on the road. Warriors lead the league offensively, scoring 116 ppg to Blazers’ 105.3, while Blazers are better defensively, allowing 103.1 ppg to Warriors’ 107.5. Warriors also lead the league in field goal percentage, shooting with 51.11% to Blazers’ 45.17%, in 3-point percentage, shooting with 396% to Blazers’ 38% and in assists made, with 30.5 to Blazers’ league-low of 19.5. Blazers are only better in rebounding, grabbing 45.2 to Warriors’ 44. Both teams are coming in this game hot but Warriors will be without Curry in this game. Vegas odds give Warriors a -1.5 spread but don’t expect them to beat the odds and pick Blazers for the home victory tonight.
