2020 Heisman Trophy Odds from Las Vegas
The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has just released their updated 2020 Heisman Trophy odds, and Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence and Ohio State’s Justin Fields have opened as the 4-to-1 co-favorites. Fields finished third in last year’s Heisman Trophy voting, with Lawrence finishing seventh. Lawrence and Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa opened last year’s betting market as the favorites, but neither earned the invite to Manhattan in December. 2019 Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow opened as high as 200-to-1 at some shops.

You’ll see some new names with some new schools atop the odds board. After two wins and a second-place finish in the last three years, the next Oklahoma quarterback in line for the Heisman hype is Spencer Rattler. Rattler has opened at 12-to-1 after only throwing 11 passes in his freshman season. Former Wake Forest quarterback Jamie Newman transferred to Georgia to finish his career. Newman is 25-to-1 after generating over 3,400 yards for the Demon Deacons last year, but he will have some competition in the Bulldogs’ huddle as former USC quarterback JT Daniels has also transferred to Georgia. Former Houston quarterback D’Eriq King has found a new home in Miami. King is 20-to-1 after sitting out the final eight games of the 2019 season. Former Stanford quarterback KJ Costello has transferred to Mississippi State. Costello has opened at 100-to-1 under new head coach Mike Leach.
