Memphis Grizzlies vs Oklahoma City Thunder

Two teams sitting on opposite sides of the Western Conference table are clashing today, when the Oklahoma City Thunder (31-25), who have been struggling mightily for almost two weeks now, are hosting the Memphis Grizzlies (18-36), who are looking to end yet another big losing streak. Memphis Grizzlies vs Oklahoma City Thunder Spread and Prediction.

Date/Time:  02-11-2018, 19:00 EDT

Spread: Oklahoma City Thunder -8.5

Total: +207.5

Thunder have a 31-25 record (23-33-0 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit on the 6th place of the West. They have lost five of their last six matches and in their last game they lost on the road against the Lakers with an 81-106 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Russell Westbrook with 25.5 ppg, adding team highs both in rebounding with 9.3 and in assists made, with 10.3 per game. He is followed by Paul George with 22.2 ppg and 5.5 rebounds, while Carmelo Anthony adds 17 ppg and 6 rebounds per game. Both Westbrook and Anthony are questionable for today.

Grizzlies have an 18-36 record (24-28-2 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit on the 12th place of the West. They have consecutive losses and in their last game they lost at home against the Jazz with an 88-92 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Tyreke Evans with 19.5 ppg, adding 5 rebounds and a team high 5 assists per game. He is followed by Marc Gasol with 17.9 ppg and a team high 8.5 rebounds per game.

In their previous meeting earlier this season, Thunder won on the road in overtime with a 101-102 score. Thunder are 19-9 at home so far this season, while Grizzlies are 5-20 on the road. Oklahoma City is better offensively, scoring 106.2 ppg to Grizzlies’ second-worse of 99, while Grizzlies are slightly better defensively, allowing 102.4 ppg to Thunder’s 102.9.  OKC has a better field goal percentage, shooting with 45.35% to Grizzlies’ 44.47%, while both teams have almost identical 3-point percentage (34.76% and 34.75%). Thunder are better in rebounding (45 to 40.4), while both teams are almost equal in assists made (21 to 20.9). Thunder are the absolute favorite at home even without two of their star players. Vegas odds give them a -8.5 spread which they are expected to beat today.
