Following one of the biggest wins of all first quarterfinal games, the third Philadelphia 76ers (52-30), who have won 16 straight after that Game 1 victory, are hosting once again the sixth Miami Heat (44-38), who are looking to bounce back after a nasty loss in the second game of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.  Miami Heat vs Philadelphia 76ers Game 2 Spread and Prediction.

Date/Time:  04-16-2018, 20:00 EDT

Spread: Philadelphia 76ers -7

Total: +215

Sixers finished the regular season with a 52-30 record (47-33-2 against the spread). They were placed third in the East and they have 16 consecutive wins. Heat finished the regular season with a 44-38 record (40-36-6 against the spread). They were placed 6th in the East after winning the tie-breaker with the Bucks and they have lost three of their last four games.

In the first game on Saturday, the Sixers used a dominant second half to bring Heat to their knees. And earn an easy 130-103 win for the 1-0 lead in the series. The Heat went into the game better, opening with a 23-4 score in the first quarter and getting the lead as high as 12 points (35-23). The Sixers balanced the game in the second quarter and cut the lead to 4 by halftime. But in the second half they destroyed the guests with a 74-43 score in that span, led by JJ Redicks’ 28 points, with Marco Belinelli added 25 off the bench. Ben Simmons added 17 points, 9 rebounds and 14 assists, narrowly missing a triple double in his playoff debut. Sixers shot with a 64.3% from behind the arc. For the Heat, Kelly Olynyk had 26 points and 7 rebounds off the bench.

Sixers have a 31-10 home record so far this season.  While Miami is 17-24 on the road. Philadelphia are better offensively, scoring 109.8 ppg to Miami’s 103.4, while Miami are better defensively, allowing 102.9 ppg to Sixers’ 105.3. The 76ers have better percentages from the field with 47.18% to Miami’s 45.51% and from behind the arc with 36.85% to Miami’s 36.03%. Philadelphia are better in rebounding, grabbing a league-best 47.4 to Miami’s 43.5 and they are also better in assists made, with a second-best of 27.1 to Miami’s 22.7. Sixers are once again the favorite for the win but this time the Heat will be better prepared. Vegas odds give the Sixers a -7 spread but don’t expect them to beat the odds as the more experienced Heat will force a closer game this time.
