Milwaukee Brewers at LA Dodgers Game Info

Prior to the start of every MLB season, we all have a basic idea of which teams are likely to be
challenging for a playoffs spot and a World Series later in the year. As always happens, a few of those
favorites underwhelm, leaving room for a dark horse to emerge and deliver an unexpected run to the
postseason. It is still altogether too early in the year to see if the preseason predictions that we placed
are going to pan out, as the standings as they look now are likely to be very, very different once we get
deep into the second half of the season. Two teams that look set to challenge for playoff spots in the
National League are going head to head this weekend, with the Milwaukee Brewers in LA for a series
against the Dodgers. Both teams are off to solid starts to the season, making this one fun to watch. They
will close out their 3-game series on Sunday afternoon. It was the Brewers who drew first blood in this
series with an 8-5 win on Friday night. Can they keep it rolling for the rest of the series?

Why bet on the Milwaukee Brewers

That win against the Dodgers in the first game of this series was a big one, as it helped kill a mini-slump
that had seen the Brewers swept at the hands of the LA Angels. Even with those losses, Milwaukee still
have a 9-5 record and the lead in the NL Central, which looks as though it is going to be tight all season
long. Milwaukee have been money at home this season, but they will need to do better than playing
.500 ball, which is where they are at now, on the road if they want to make a serious push for a division
title. With a team ERA of 5.41 in the early going, it’s more than fair to suggest that they need to get
more out of their pitching staff. It will be Jhoulys Chacin (2-1, 4.24 ERA) who gets the start here.

Why bet on the LA Dodgers

The task for the LA Dodgers this season is about as obvious as it gets, which is to finally win a World
Series. They have come up just short in each of the last two seasons, falling to teams that are spending a
whole lot less money that the Dodgers are to win it all. It looks as though they are going to have a
serious challenger in the West, though, as the Padres look very good after making some splashes in the
offseason. The Dodgers are currently sitting with an 8-7 record after losing back to back games, which
has them now sitting 2 games back of the Padres. They may have lost the opener to Milwaukee, but LA
are still a respectable 5-2 at home. Ross Stripling (0-1, 3.78 ERA) will get the start.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

This has all the makings of a very good series, and I like the Brewers to get the series win. They might
well be able to lock that up on Saturday, but if they don’t, look for them to do it here.
