William Hill 2019 MLB Season Team Win Totals
The 2019 Major League Baseball season finds first pitch for North America’s Opening Day tomorrow. All 30 teams will take part in the earliest date for season openers in the history of the league.
The Cleveland Indians are overwhelming favorites to earn the American League Central division title. However the club took a hit today when it was announced the All Star Francisco Lindor will be disabled to start the season. One of the most important parts of the Indians middle infield had been working his way back from a calf injury. But Lindor suffered a setback with a acute ankle sprain. The middle-fielder did so While base running during a minor-league spring training game on Tuesday.
According to published sources the club also announced that Lindor has had an MRI and his timetable for a return is to be determined.
The Indians will be without Lindor’s slash line of .277/.352/.519 with 42 doubles, 38 homers, 92 RBI, 129 runs, 25 steals, a 7.9 WAR and 12 defensive runs saved at shortstop.
While the team’s 2019 season win total has not been adjusted by most Vegas and Offshore shops replacing those kinds of numbers is extremely difficult for the deepest of rosters. The primary utility man, Eric Stamets, has never played in the bigs. In 78 games in Triple-A last season, he hit .202/.272/.324 and he’s hit .220/.360/.366 in the spring. The other option would be Max Moroff whose career numbers (.193/.293/.331 hitter in 84 MLB games) are less than attractive.
Cleveland checks in with an over-under of 91.5 wins
