MLB Division Odds from Las Vegas
Slowly but surely, the details of the Major League Baseball season are coming together. The Caesars Sports Book has just released their updated 2020 MLB division odds, and the prices have definitely contracted to reflect the abbreviated season. Long-shots like the Baltimore Orioles (from 1000/1 to 100/1 in the AL East) and Miami Marlins (from 500/1 to 100/1 in the NL East) have seen their odds drastically drop. Prices on some of the division favorites – Minnesota from -160 to -125 and NY Yankees from -450 to -300 – have also been altered to reflect the shortened season.

The 2020 Major League Baseball schedule has not been released yet, but early reports suggest that the 60-game schedule will be comprised of ten games against each opponent in your division, plus four games against each team in your geographic location from the opposite league. For example, the New York Yankees will play the Red Sox, Rays, Orioles and Blue Jays ten times (40 total games), then play the Mets, Phillies, Nationals, Braves and Marlins four times (20 total games).
How much parity can we expect during a 60-game season? The Los Angeles Dodgers have won the NL West seven-straight years. But if those previous seasons were stopped after 60 games, the Dodgers would only have three division titles, not seven.
