FC Dallas met a tough loss on the road against Real Salt Lake last week, and have now lost three of their last five. Despite the bad run, they are still sitting at the top of the Western Conference. They will now look to make amends for that loss, when they will play host to Chicago Fire on Saturday. Chicago are also coming off a bad loss, maybe even greater than what FC Dallas suffered. Both teams will be looking for the three points here, and a goal-fest might be in the books.

Date/Time: 20:00 EDT

Spread: FC Dallas -1

Total: 3 Goals

FC Dallas (10-3-5) were horrible in the first half of their match against Real Salt Lake last week. They were much better in the second half, but conceded once in each half of the match to eventually fall by 0-2. FC Dallas were having a great season so far, but all three of their losses have come in their last five matches. However, they are still sitting at the top of the West with 35 points, one ahead of LAFC. They are one of the few teams to have remained undefeated at home so far (6-0-4). They have scored 20 goals at home so far, and have conceded just 10. Moreover, they have only kept three clean sheets at home so far in the season.

On the other hand, Chicago Fire (6-9-5) are coming into this match after a mouth-watering 4-3 loss at home against Philadelphia. Chicago were slightly better at the first half, but they were really pressured in the second. They managed to equalize three times in that match (39th, 69th and 94th), but they conceded another goal at the stoppage time to eventually lose by 4-3. They have now lost back to back matches, after remaining undefeated for seven consecutive (3-0-4). Chicago have now slid to the 8th spot of the Eastern Conference, where they are sitting with 23 points. They have not been very good on the road so far (2-4-3), but have lost just one of their last five (1-1-3).

Chicago Fire have dominated this match-up over the past six years, having lost just once in that span (5-1-0). But it is FC Dallas who have been dominant as hosts against them (14-4-4). Despite having won just two matches in this venue over the past two decades, Chicago usually score here.

FC Dallas have had a tough time keeping clean sheets so far at home, and Chicago can easily score at least once. FC Dallas are bound to get back on good form at some point, but Chicago also want a win here. I will take the Over 3 goals here, in what can easily turn into a goal-fest.
