FC Dallas were not very good last season, despite making the playoffs. In this season’s premiere they did all they could against New England but were unable to take all three points. They will now play host to the LA Galaxy on Saturday, who did a solid job in the premiere.

Spread: FC Dallas -0.5

Total: 3 Goals

FC Dallas (0-0-1) hosted New England Revolution in their first match of the 2019 season. They made a strong start in that match and the season when they took the lead at the 13th minute with Barrios. But it was a really balanced match between the two sides, in both halves. New England Revolution managed to pull even in the second half for the final 1-1 draw. FC Dallas did a solid job in the regular season last year, finishing 4th in the Eastern Conference (16-9-9). They were equally strong at home, where they lost just twice (10-2-5). They scored 32 goals in 17 home matches last season, and conceded 19 in the process.

The LA Galaxy (1-0-0) almost suffered an upset at home against Chicago Fire. They were not very careful in the first half but the two teams entered the break tied at 0-0. Chicago Fire took the lead at the 49th minute of that match, but the LA Galaxy were great in their response. They pulled even at the 68th minute with Alvarez, before Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the winning goal at the 80th minute for the final 1-2. The Galaxy could have made the playoffs last season but somehow lost in their last match of the regular season. They finished 7th (13-12-9) and were left without anything of substance. The Galaxy were mediocre on the road last season (5-7-4), where there were 3.9 goals scored per average on each match.

FC Dallas won both matches against the LA Galaxy last season, by 2-3 in this venue before a 3-2 win on the road. They have now won each of the last four and are undefeated in the lat seven (5-0-2). They have also been tremendous as hosts, losing just once in the last eight here and winning five of the last six.

The LA Galaxy did great in their first match and grabbed all three points. But they have suffered a lot against FC Dallas in recent years, especially in this venue. The hosts will look for their first win of the season and I will back them up here.
