Jose Aldo, the former champ, comes into this fight having lost three-straight, which sounds crazy to say. I do think he beat Marlon Moraes but MMA judges disagree, but those three fights are against top talents in the sport.

These guys have quite the history. UFC Fight Island 6 will be headlined by Brian Ortega vs The Korean Zombie, Chan Sung Jung in the main event. The featherweights were originally supposed to meet last December in Jung’s home of South Korea, but a knee injury to Ortega forced the postponement. We are now just hours away from UFC 251 on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, but the highly-anticipated battle between Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns has been scrapped after Burns tested positive for COVID-19. Jorge Masvidal has stepped in to take Burns’ spot in the main event. Usman, the UFC Welterweight Champion, has opened as a -240 favorite over Masvidal (+200).

Two more weeks ’til Fight Island! This week’s UFC Fight Night card will be the last domestic event before the MMA promotion heads to Abu Dhabi. Lightweight contenders Dan Hooker and Dustin Poirier will headline the event from the APEX Performance Center in Las Vegas. Poirier has opened as the -230 favorite in the main event. Other notable bouts on the card include Mike Perry (-320) vs. Mickey Gall (+260) and Luis Pena (-235) vs. Khama Worthy (+195).

Age is just a number at this weekend’s UFC Fight Night event. Saturday night’s card is headlined by heavyweights Curtis Blaydes and Alexander Volkov, but there are plenty of notable names on the undercard. Thirty-eight-year-old Clay Guida is stepping into the octagon for the 55th time in his career. Thirty-six-year-old Jim Miller will tie Donald Cerrone’s record for most UFC appearances when he fights Roosevelt Robert on Saturday night. Thirty-seven-year-old Roxanne Modafferi is attempting to win back-to-back fights for the first time in three years.

The UFC is staying in its home base for UFC 250, which will be headlined by Amanda Nunes and Felicia Spencer for the Women’s Featherweight Championship from the APEX Performance Center in Las Vegas. At Caesars, the champion Nunes has opened as the -550 favorite to defend her title. Nunes, who also holds the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship, has not lost since 2014. Spencer’s only loss came via decision against Cris Cyborg in July 2019.

After a brief stint in Jacksonville, the UFC returns to its home base this weekend with a UFC Fight Night Card from the APEX Performance Center in Las Vegas. Saturday night’s card is highlighted by welterweights Tyron Woodley and Gilbert Burns. Woodley has opened as a -180 favorite in the five-round main event at William Hill. Burns is on a five-fight winning streak, while Woodley has not fought since losing a decision to Kamaru Usman in March 2019.
