Conor McGregor opened up nearly a 2-dollar favorite when this fight was first posted, but we have seen a steady move to Jose Aldo, and while the value isn’t what it was, I do believe the money has moved in the correct direction. The combatants are well-matched and in a fight like this one, the man who can adapt and bring a deeper style of arsenal usually ends up on top. In this case, that fighter is Jose Aldo. While he is a striker, his “fall-back,” so to speak, is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He can beat fighters on the ground or with his own take and style of Muay Thai. That certainly makes him versatile, and as other fighters have pointed out, McGregor is vulnerable if a skilled fighter takes him to the ground. It’s Aldo who can better make the adjustments and the owner of the deeper arsenal in this match, and I believe it’ll prove to be the difference on Saturday night.
