NBA New York Knicks vs Milwaukee Bucks Spread and Prediction

In a rematch of the first game of Christmas Day where the Bucks won in Madison Square Garden by 14 points, the second in the East Milwaukee Bucks (23-10), looking to turn their latest victory into a streak, are hosting the second-worse New York Knicks (9-256), who have won only once in their last eleven games.

Date/Time: 12-27-2018, 20:00 EDT

Spread: Milwaukee Bucks -14.5

Total: +228

Milwaukee Bucks have a 23-10 record (17-14-2 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit in the second place of the East. They have won five of their last six matches and in their last game they won on the road against the Knicks with 109-95 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Giannis Antetokounmpo with 2642 ppg, adding team highs both in dimes made with 5.9 and in boards grabbed with 12.8 per game. He is followed by Kris Middleton with 17.2 ppg, 5.9 boards and 3.9 dimes per game.

New York Knicks have a 9-26 record (15-19-1 against the spread) so far this season and are currently tied with the Bulls in the second to last place of the East. They have lost 10 of their last 11 matches and in their last game they lost at home against the Bucks with a 95-109 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Tim Hardaway Jr with 20.8 ppg, adding 3.4 boards and 3 dimes per game. He is followed by Enes Kanter with 14.9 ppg and a team high 10.9 boards per game.

This will be the fourth meeting between those two teams this season with the Bucks leading 2-1 wins. Bucks have a 14-3 home record, while the Knicks are 5-14 on the road. Bucks have the best offense in the league with 116.6 ppg to Knicks’ 108.2 and they are also better defensively, allowing 108.1 ppg to Knicks’ 115.7. They also have better percentages both in field goals (47.3% to 43.7%) and in 3-pointers (34.4% to 34.1%). Bucks are better both in boards grabbed (50 to 45.3) and in dimes made (26.2 to 19.8), while Knicks are only better in turnovers committed (13.7 to 14.3). Bucks are the absolute favorite and Vegas odds give them a -14.5 spread and expect them to beat the odds against an inferior Knicks squad.
