NBA Playoffs 1st Rd Line Report: Mon April 15

The No. 1 versus No. 8 seeds in both conferences will not… won’t… result in sweeps. On the contrary. The Clippers are not going to lay-down and hand the series win to the reigning champion Warriors. And in the East the Milwaukee Bucks may well have ended the regular season slate with the most team victories but they are the softest of the two top seeds and if they are not hitting their beyond-the-arc jumpers they are as pedestrian as the No. 8 seed Detroit Pistons.

And NBA pundits who claim that the East is seed top-heavy have been sleeping the last two months. And the Western Conference playoffs? The four matchups should be crazy good with any of the eight teams capable of making their way to the title series in June.

The series between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Oklahoma City Thunder sport two ? We got two teams that were defeated in embarrassing fashion in the first round last year.

Check back on Saturday night for injury and line updates for Monday night’s NBA hardwood action.
