NBA Playoffs 1st Rd Line Report: Sun April 14

The 2019 National Basketball Association regular schedule is in the books. The Association postseason seeds are set. And the complete schedule for all 16 playoff qualifiers sets up for an interesting and closely contested contests.

The 2019 NBA playoff seeds don’t resemble that of the 2018 campaign. Save the No. 2 seed Golden State Warriors who are in line to defend their title.

Sunday’s opening postseason series begins in Boston. The Celtics host the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference side of the bracket.

The Pacers were considered dead in the playoff-water earlier this year when All Star Victor Oladipo suffered a season ending knee injury. Still, this is a team that can make noise with scoring threat Bojan Bogdanovic. Without Oladipo the squad depends on the depth and balance of Myles Turner, Thaddeus Young and Domantas Sabonis.

Are the Marcus Smart-less Celtics a touchdown better than the Pacers? Boston has been everything but consistent during the regular season and lack defensive tenacity without Smart.

Pacers Injury Update

Victor Oladipo (knee) out for season

Celtics Injury Update

Marcus Smart (oblique) out indefinitely
