NBA Tip Sheet and Betting Guide: Monday, November 9, 2015 at WagerTalk

The Golden State Warriors found a way to remain the only unbeaten team in the National Basketball Association on Sunday night defeating the Sacramento Kings 103-94 behind Stephen Curry’s 21 second half points. The defending NBA champions Warriors (7-0) are off to its best start since taking up residence on the West Coast and are two wins away from matching the Philadelphia Warriors’ 9-0 franchise-best start in 1960-61.

NBA Free Pick: Atlanta Hawks at Miami Heat

NBA Free Pick: Atlanta Hawks at Miami Heat at WagerTalk

TNT personality and ex-NBA All World forward Charles Barkley call the Miami Heat one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference this preseason and head coach Erik Spoelstra’s crew is beginning to find their hard-court mojo.  The Heat have already been tested in the first two weeks of the 2015-16 campaign including an emotional contest against former teammate LeBron James and the Cavaliers that resulted in a 102-92 loss in Cleveland last Friday.

Free NBA Pick: Chicago Bulls vs Charlotte Hornets

Bulls vs Nuggets

This is a tough matchup for the new-look Hornets. Charlotte is taking their offensive game beyond the arc and right now they’re 11th in the league in 3-point percentage, which isn’t bad, but certainly nothing to write home about. And if Marvin Williams is taken out of the mix, (44% 3-point shooting this season), Charlotte could be in trouble.  The Hornets are taking more than 30 treys per game and the deep perimeter approach will be defended by the best 3-point deniers in the NBA and that means Williams could be in for a tough night.  Chicago has held their first four opponents to 24.7% shooting from area code 3, and own individual matchups to slow down the Hornets.  With the perimeter protected, I expect the Bulls to pull away in the second half and win by a spread covering margin.  I’m recommending a play on the Chicago Bulls minus the points on Tuesday.

2017-18 Odds to Win NBA MVP: LeBron stock rises

Cleveland Cavaliers All Pro LeBron James declared himself ready for his team’s first game of the 2015-16 National Basketball Association season, and his 13th in the league, when the “Association” official begins the regular campaign on Tuesday, October 26th, with a three game slate.  The future Hall of Fame forward underwent an anti-inflammatory injection earlier this month and has been unable to take full reps with his teammates the last two weeks. James did take part in most of the team’s court drills on Monday and said he’ll play Tuesday in the season opener at Chicago.
