Cleveland Cavaliers vs Golden State Warriors Betting Preview

Cleveland Cavaliers vs Golden State Warriors Picks and Predictions

Plenty has changed between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers from their NBA Finals runs from a few years ago. Golden State is hanging on to some success behind Steph Curry and Draymond Green, while Cleveland is still putting the pieces of the puzzle together. The Warriors are 10-point road favorites in Cleveland, with the total sitting at 225 points. The Gold Sheet offers their NBA betting preview for Thursday night’s East vs West showdown between the Cavaliers and Warriors.

Cleveland played last night in Charlotte, winning its third-straight road game, oddly enough. The Cavs are 5-7 against the spread when playing the second game of a back-to-back this season. But the Warriors are also playing without rest after coming off a visit to Oklahoma City yesterday, where they rolled up 50 points in the third quarter en route to a 147-109 laugher. Steph Curry had 42 pts on 11 made three-pointers. The Warriors are just 2-5 on the road against the spread when unrested, but busted up the Cavs in the first meeting this season. Golden State rode Curry’s 36 points in only three quarters of action and Draymond Green added 16 rebounds in a 129-98 victory.

The Cavaliers are still without leading scorer and playmaker Collin Sexton, sitting the last two games with a groin injury. Although G Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen were back in action last night against the Hornets, as was Larry Nance Jr. for Cleveland. Golden State is a much better favorite (13-8 vs. the points) than as a dog (12-21). Cleveland has lost four straight at home (1-3 vs. the number by one basket).
