The two worse teams of the Eastern conference are clashing in this game, when the New York Knicks (13-48), who have been playing much better lately and want to extend their current small winning streak, are hosting the Cleveland Cavaliers (14-47), who are looking to bounce back after their latest defeat.

Date/Time: 02-28-2019, 19:30 EDT

Spread: New York Knicks -3

Total: +217.5

New York Knicks have a 13-48 record (26-34-1 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit in the last place of the whole league. They have won three of their last four matches and in their last game they won at home against the Magic with a 108-103 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Dennis Smith Jr with 16.1 ppg, adding and a team high 6.9 dimes per game. He is followed by Emmanuel Mudiay with 14.8 ppg and 3.8 dimes.

Cleveland Cavaliers have a 14-47 record (27-33-1 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit in the second to last place of the East. In their last game they saw a two-game winning streak getting snapped by losing at home against the Blazers with a 110-123 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Kevin Love with 17.8 ppg, adding 10.9 boards per game. He is followed by Jordan Clarkson with 16.9 ppg and 3.4 boards off the bench.

Cavaliers have won both previous meetings against the Knicks earlier this season, both at home and by an average of 5 points. Knicks have a 6-24 home record, while the Cavs are 5-24 on the road. Knicks are better offensively, scoring 105.2 ppg to Cavs’ 102.2, while Cavaliers are better defensively, allowing 113.1 ppg to Knicks’ 114.3. Cavaliers have better percentages both in field goals (44.1% to 43%) and in 3-pointers (35.3% to 33.7%). They are also better in turnovers committed (12.7 to 13.2) and in dimes made (20.4 to 19.7), while Knicks are better in boards grabbed (44.2 to 42.3). Knicks are actually winning games lately and Vegas odds give them a -3 spread and expect them to beat the odds for the home victory.
