In this battle between two of the five best teams of the East that are coming off defeats by teams much lower in the conference table, the second Toronto Raptors (44-17), are hosting the fifth Boston Celtics (37-23), with both squads looking to bounce back tonight.

Date/Time: 02-26-2019, 20:00 EDT

Spread: Toronto Raptors -4

Total: +225.5

Toronto Raptors have a 44-17 record (26-35 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit in the second place of the East. In their last game they saw a seven-game winning streak getting snapped by losing at home against the Magic with a 98-113 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Kawhi Leonard with 26.9 ppg, adding 7.6 boards per game. He is followed by Pascal Siakam with 16.1 ppg and 7 boards per game.

Boston Celtics have a 37-23 record (31-29 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit in the 5th place of the East. They have back-to-back losses and in their last game they lost on the road against the Bulls with a 116-126 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Kyrie Irving with 23.8 ppg, adding 4.8 boards and a team high 6.9 dimes per game. He is followed by Jayson Tatum with 16.4 ppg and 6.3 boards per game.

In their three previous meetings so far this season the Celtics lead the Raptors 2-1 wins with each team having won at home. Raptors have a 25-6 home record, while the Celtics are 14-15 on the road. Raptors are better offensively, scoring 114.1 ppg to Celtics’ 112.8, while Celtics are better defensively, allowing 106.8 ppg to Raptors’ 108.9. Raptors have a better field goal percentage (46.8% to 46.4%), while Celtics have a better 3-point percentage (37.1% to 34.9%). Celtics are better both in dimes made (26.3 to 24.7) and in turnovers committed (12.6 to 13), while both teams are almost equal in boards grabbed (45.2 to 45). Raptors are the favorite in this game and Vegas odds give them a -4 spread and expect them to beat the odds against a mediocre on the road Celtics squad.
